~December Hols~
Well, it's the holidays! Yeah, and Secondary 1 is soon coming to an end. But, my studies have yet not. 3 more days to the LAST CLASS OUTING!~ Destination: chalet
I bet the class is going to enjoy it :D It's gonna be fun, I assure. Let it be the last and happy moments for the Year of Secondary 1. Going to meet online with YiTian on MSN later on to discuss the items we have to bring for the outing.
Though it's the hols, we still have homework. Mother Tongue. Have to complete 3 essays. I don't know if I have to determination to work on it. The only motivation is that the essays' marks are calculated for the overall. In Primary schools we have no homework during the EOY Hols. However it's unreasonably different in Secondary schools.
In a positive mood now. I watched Night At The Museum 2 just now :D Second time since I watched it in the theatre. I still laughed at the jokes. Can't bear them and cracked up. Really funny :D The film used great visual effects.
Love this hilarious and ADORABLE character! DEXTER!!!

Plot of "My Sister's Keeper"
Conceived by engineering, Anna Fitzgerald was brought into the world to be a genetic match for her older sister, Kate, who suffers from leukemia. Anna knows if she donates a kidney, she will be unable to live the life she wants and no longer be able to take part in extracurricular activities such as cheerleading or soccer or motherhood. Her family members are introduced one by one and each tell about how Katie's illness has affected them personally and the family. When Kate turns 15, she goes into renal failure.
Knowing that she will have to donate one of her kidneys to her sister, Anna sues her parents for medical emancipation and the rights to her own body. Attorney Campbell Alexander agrees to work for Anna as her guardian ad litem, suing for partial termination of parental rights. It is later learned he agreed to take the case not for the notoriety, but because he is an epileptic and understands her predicament of not having control over one's own body.
The judge refuses to grant summary dismissal, and the case goes to a hearing. The film is interlaced with flashbacks that detail the strong relationship between Kate and Anna as well as how Kate's illness has affected her siblings' lives and their relationships.
It turns out that Kate does not even want Anna's kidney, she has no confidence in another operation and prefers to die, and since her mum does not listen to her she has requested Anna to file for medical emancipation, and refuse to donate a kidney. Their older brother Jesse had known about it all along and urges Anna to tell but she doesn't dare say any more so he reveals it himself. Her mum finally stops fighting Kate's decision, and Anna does not donate her kidney to Kate. Kate dies in her sleep at the hospital with her mother in her arms.
My Sister's Keeper is a 2009 American drama film directed by Nick Cassavetes, starring Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin, Sofia Vassilieva, and Alec Baldwin. It is based on Jodi Picoult's novel of the same name. The film tells the story of one family's struggle to cope with a serious disease of one of its members while presenting viewpoints from each family member.
This is a heart-touching film which etched deep into me. I couldn't help thinking about the whole film repeatedly when I woke up the next day. It is a superb movie, honestly one of the best I've ever watched.
I find that the siblings in this film had built a very strong bond between each other. They cooperated and accepted each other. The film partly shows the painful life of a cancer patient, and her decision to give up for herself. There's one quote in the film which she says," I don't mind that the disease is killing me, but it's killing my family too." Well, it was true. The family was almost breaking up when Anna sued her parents.
This movie shows perseverance and determination, but Kate gave up when her condition worsened. I really pity her. Although this is a tragical movie, but there is also a good humour mixed together too! A movie simply not to be missed!
PS: Bring a bucket to the theatre. You wouldn't want to flood the cinema. Trust me, you'll need it. :P
